More about the features
Cameras work through the player's head and by renaming them.
To create a camera, rename the camera to camera:<name>:[mode].
Specifying
:[mode]is optional; without it, the default mode will be selected.
Camera control
- Camera rotation can be adjusted using the arrow keys or holding down the left mouse button
- Zoom can be adjusted using the mouse wheel

Monitors are created in the same way as cameras, except that they must be named monitor:<name>
Important! The names of the camera and monitor must match for the connection to work.

- Can textures be changed?: Yes, they can. The camera's operation does not depend on the texture, only on the name.
- What is the camera's radius?: 100 blocks from the monitor.
- Do cameras work outside the preload?: No.
- Will the cameras work if the heads are turned?: Yes
- What is the order of the cameras?: Everything goes in order:
- From -100 on y from the camera to 100 from the camera on y
- From -100 on x from the camera to 100 from the camera on x
- From -100 z from the camera to 100 z from the camera
- (Simply put, from -yxz to +yxz)

How to Install CamHeads on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "CamHeads". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

CamHeads server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is CamHeads compatible with fabric and quilt?
CamHeads officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with CamHeads – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if CamHeads consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
