About this Mod

An unofficial (permitted) forge port of Chicken Nerf.

Chickens will no longer randomly lay eggs. Instead, when you breed two chicken (with seed like in vanilla), they will produce a random number of eggs.

This has several advantages:

  • It makes more sense
  • It makes chicken farms non-trivial
  • It can reduce lag because wild chickens won't randomly create items all over the place
  • It more closely matches the other animals of minecraft

This port has basically the same behavior as the original mod, except:

  • Instead of using Maximum eggs chickens lay to limit the maximum number of eggs a chicken can lay once, use "Number of eggs laid = (laid_eggs_count_minimum) + 0 ~ (laid_eggs_count_variation)" to calculate";
