Client Side Cosmetics
This mod lets you change your armor trims, shield banners, and capes on the client side.
🛡️ Armor Customization
- Change trims on your armor freely
- Works on all armor types (e.g. diamond, netherite, etc.)
- Includes a live 3D player preview with full 360° rotation
- Rotation lock available for stable preview viewing
- Save up to 9 presets
- Presets can be easily loaded or cleared

🎨 Shield Banner Editor
Customize shield banners locally
Add banners using a command format like:
minecraft:black_banner{...}You can also paste full commands like:
/give @p minecraft:black_banner{...}Save banners to favorites
Remove saved banners anytime
Right-side panel shows a live preview
You can reset or save the current pattern
Includes an HD shield rendering fix:
- Makes shield banners match the original banner design
- Fixes vanilla scaling and pattern issues

How to Install Client Side Cosmetics on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Client Side Cosmetics". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Client Side Cosmetics server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Client Side Cosmetics compatible with fabric?
Client Side Cosmetics officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 1.21.11. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Client Side Cosmetics – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Client Side Cosmetics consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
