About this Mod
Copper Buttons
Welcome to Copper Buttons, a vanilla-friendly mod designed for redstone engineers, builders, and everyone who loves the weathering mechanics of Minecraft!

This mod introduces a brand-new set of functional buttons made entirely of copper. Just like regular copper blocks, these buttons will naturally oxidize over time, and their redstone properties will dynamically change as they age. It seamlessly blends aesthetics with technical utility.
Dynamic Redstone Timings
The core mechanic of this mod is simple but incredibly powerful: the more oxidized the copper button becomes, the longer its redstone signal pulse will last.
This effectively turns the buttons into natural, compact signal extenders. Whether you need a lightning-fast pulse for a piston door, or a long delay to keep a hidden trap open, there is a specific oxidation stage perfectly suited for the job.
Oxidation and Waxing
As time passes in your world, your shiny new buttons will transition through four stages of degradation: Clean, Exposed, Weathered, and fully Oxidized.
Have you found the perfect timing for your contraption and want to keep it that way? You can preserve it! Simply craft the aged button with a Honeycomb, or right-click it with one in the world, to wax it and lock its current oxidation state forever. 🍯

If a button has oxidized too much, you can easily scrape off the oxidation layer by right-clicking it with any Axe, returning it to its previous state.
Lightning Strike Mechanics
For the technical players who love weather interactions, we have included a special feature. A direct lightning strike will instantly clean a fully oxidized button back to its pristine state! ⚡

Even better, the impact will send sparks flying, partially cleaning any other copper buttons in the immediate vicinity.
Crafting Recipes
The mod is perfectly balanced and integrates smoothly into standard survival gameplay.
- Base Button: Place a single Copper Nugget in your crafting grid.
- Waxed Button: Combine any Copper Button (at any oxidation stage) with a Honeycomb.

Full Configuration
Are the default timings not quite right for your specific redstone needs? You have total control.

If you have Mod Menu and Cloth Config installed, you can access a dedicated configuration screen. Here, you can manually adjust the exact tick duration for every single oxidation stage, allowing you to tailor the mod exactly to your playstyle. ⚙️
