About this Mod
Cursed – Power at a Cost
Cursed adds new ways to gain power through dangerous, forbidden mechanics. Harness unextinguishable flames, become an untouchable ghost, or walk the line between life and death as an undead. Each form offers unique strengths - but every one comes with its own drawbacks.
Features
Cursed Fire :
An unextinguishable fire that can only be put out by death. It burns through your inventory first, consuming any flammable items before turning its fury on you.
Ghosts :
Transform yourself or any living entity into a ghost, rendering them invisible to the living and unable to directly interact with or harm them.
Undeads :
Become an undead being capable of interacting with both ghosts and the living, but cursed to burn under the light of the sun.
Start Guide
Most of the mod’s features are locked behind specific conditions and interactions. Below is a quick introduction to help you understand the core mechanics and how to access their full potential.
Cursed Fire :
When fire is lit on Soul Sand placed directly above a Budding Amethyst, there’s a small chance it will become Cursed Fire. Using a Stick on Cursed Fire will ignite it, spreading the same unextinguishable flame.
Ghosts :
When an entity being consumed by Cursed Fire is killed using a Cleaver, it transforms into a Ghost. A Monster in the Nether may snatch Cleaver from the ground if left unattended.

Server lagging with Cursed – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Cursed consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
