Customize the End Portals in Strongholds!
About this Mod
This mod allows modpack creators to configure the End Portals in Strongholds to take a unique set of items!
For example, you could make an End Portal that requires 6 diamonds and 6 honeycomb! (Not that you would, that sounds awful.)
Each portal frame is now its own unique block type, meaning you can easily give each one its own texture and model! By default, the models look exactly the same as the vanilla end portal frames, except with a new top. There's an individual texture file to each of the frame's tops by default, too. (endportallock:block/custom_end_portal_frame_#_empty and endportallock:block/custom_end_portal_frame_#_filled)
To modify what items each portal frame takes, look in the config file for the mod, config/endportallock.json.

How to Install Custom End Portals on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.3).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Custom End Portals". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Custom End Portals server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Custom End Portals compatible with fabric?
Custom End Portals officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.3, 1.21.2, 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Custom End Portals – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Custom End Portals consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
