About this Mod
Custom Records
Adds data driven custom music discs, allowing you to create music discs via data packs. You can also add custom disc fragments. Also adds "Golden Records" and "Sound Effect Buttons" you can give access to via loot tables.
This mod requires data pack setup to use
An example resource/data pack for this can be found here: Resource Pack Example
Custom Music Discs
With a datapack, you can register music disc tracks that will have a music disc in game. See the example repository for more information on how to do this. You can also set these to have disc fragments that require 9 pieces to craft the music disc.
Golden Records
A unique type of music disc. Golden Records are intended to be special, unique rewards to offer you or players of your server. You can set up the loot modifier to add unique loot that generates a limited amount of times in your world. When, where, and who the loot generates for is logged in the server files.
If you want to share the golden record, you can use a "Blank Silver Record" to make a copy, which produces a Silver Record. Silver Records cannot be copied, and Blank Silver Records must be added to loot tables manually.
Sound Effect Buttons
You can add custom sound effect buttons to your loot tables which play a sound effect to nearby players when pressed. They also give off a redstone signal and function like normal buttons. Unlike normal buttons, they can also be powered by redstone.
Sound effect buttons can be dyed to any vanilla dye color.
Global Sound Effect Buttons
Works just like normal sound effect buttons, except they play the sound effect for the entire server. They also cannot be powered by redstone. It's recommended to not use these unless you're playing on a server with close friends, as they can lead to major annoyances.

Server lagging with Custom Records – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Custom Records consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
