About this Mod
Customizable Carts adds a variety of new minecarts, each with a unique design, and all created through simple json files that you can create and put in datapacks to add your own minecarts.
There are currently 10 new cart body's, with many more planned for future updates.
The carts in the picture above in order from top to bottom, left to right are:
Carnival Cart, Blue Carnival Cart, Mint Carnival Cart, Orange Carnival Cart, Pink Carnival Cart, Yellow Carnival Carts.
Trial Cart, Music Cart, Golden Cart, Tuff Cart, and the vanilla minecart.

Will this be on neoforge in the future?
Yes! The first full release will be on neoforge & fabric. This mod was made for Modfest: Carnival so I originally only developed it on fabric.
How do I add my own carts?
I plan on writing up a wiki detailing the cart creation process, but for now you can just follow by example, and look at the json files for the current carts here
Is this mod currently survival friendly?
No not yet entirely, the cart body's are currently unobtainable in survival.

How to Install Customizable Carts on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Customizable Carts". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Customizable Carts server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Customizable Carts compatible with fabric and quilt?
Customizable Carts officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 1.21. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Customizable Carts – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Customizable Carts consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
