About this Mod

Cyanstone

Cyanstone is a mod that adds the ability to change the color of redstone and certain redstone blocks using a colormap in resource packs.

Originally, I was just planning on changing the hardcoded colormap to cyan, which gave the name Cyanstone. Now it is possible to edit the redstone color (including particles) using a single texture file!

In 1.21.5+ the vanilla dye color resource packs are not built in. These are held in separate projects to save space on the resource pack screen.

Resource Packs

There is also a collection for all the resource packs, with the main 15 colors (not including red) being listed above and 15 Pride-themed packs.
The collection: Cyanstone Resource Packs

If you have made a resource pack that uses Cyanstone and would like it to be added to the collection, please use the issues link on the right of the screen and let me know!

Frequently Asked Questions

Cyanstone server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Cyanstone compatible with fabric?

Cyanstone officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Cyanstone – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Cyanstone consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
