DarkSteps

DarkSteps is a client-side cosmetic mod that adds stylish fading footprints as you walk.

Each step leaves a temporary mark on the ground, with its color based on the block beneath your feet and slightly darkened for a cleaner, more natural appearance. This allows footprints to blend into many different surfaces such as sand, stone, dirt, wood, snow, and more.

The footprints are rendered directly on the ground, alternate between steps while moving, and disappear after a short time. Unlike simple particles, they are made to feel more solid and visually pleasing, adding a subtle decorative effect to movement.
