About this Mod
Death Animations lets you replace the “death moment” with a custom animation using your own media.
- Choose between Direct Video playback (use
.mp4/.webm) or Frames Mode (pre-generated PNG frames for smoother, more consistent performance). - Comes with an automatic FFmpeg setup so video decoding and frame generation work without installing anything system-wide.
- Optional green screen (chroma key) settings to remove a keyed background color.
- Includes server-side options for respawn flow and spectator behavior after death.
Install the mod, launch the game once to complete setup, then open the mod config to select your video or frame set.

How to Install Death Animations (Video Player) on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
