About this Mod

A simple mod that fixes the death screen's quit button by adding code from the pause menu's button. By that I mean the code that increases the LeaveGame stat by 1 and sends a leave packet to the server (if you're in one). This explains why, in the vanilla game, leaving a server using the death screen button causes the player to be locked off (username already logged in) because the server doesn't know that they left.

This may only be useful for playing on servers.

As of 1/3/2026, this mod can be replaced by Mini Multiplayer Patches ;)

How to Install DeathQuitFix on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set babric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the babric loader and matching Minecraft version (b1.7.3).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "DeathQuitFix". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
