Death Lightning
Summons a dramatic lightning strike effect when a player dies, using lightning visuals and sounds only — no fire, no explosions, and no damage.
About this Mod
Death Lightning (Visual Only)
Adds a lightning-themed visual and sound effect when a player dies, played at the death location.
The effect is implemented using particles and sounds only and does not summon a lightning entity.
No fire, explosions, or damage are produced, and no gameplay mechanics are altered.
This datapack can be used on SMPs to provide a visible and audible indication when a player death occurs nearby.
Tested in singleplayer on Minecraft Java 1.21.11.
Expected to function on other 1.21.x versions and in multiplayer, but these have not been explicitly tested.
