About this Mod

deAWT mod for ornithe

Gets rid of the usage of AWT Frame/Canvas, which the game uses in legacy versions.

This mod was made and tested on Beta 1.7.3, it might work with earlier betas and even up to release 1.2.5. Feel free to port this to more versions if you want.

You can grab the installer for Ornithe on their website! You can also generate MultiMC/Prism instances with it.

Notable changes

Restores the icon and title, which can now be changed with org.lwjgl.opengl.Display#setTitle() and org.lwjgl.opengl.Display#setIcon(). The stock icon is set to the legacy grass block.
Re-introduces the "Quit Game" button.
Mouse cursor is properly centered on fullscreen.
Also added Apple M chips support, fixing the inverted colors issue.
Fixes the game not scaling properly when using high DPI.

How to Install deAWT on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.2.5).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "deAWT". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

deAWT server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.2.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is deAWT compatible with fabric and ornithe?
