About this Mod
Simple Minecraft mod to spawn players in a dimension other than the Overworld by default.
Configuration

| spawnX | The x coordinate to spawn players at if specificCoordinates is true. |

| spawnZ | The z coordinate to spawn players at if specificCoordinates is true. |
| generatePlatform | Whether a 3x3 platform should be generated under players if their first spawn is in the air. |
| platformBlockState | The blockstate that generatePlatform uses to make the platform. Supports string format e.g. minecraft:cake[bites=3] |
Platform-specific Notes
Fabric
Changes to the configuration will be reflected immediately. The config is located in the .minecraft/config/ folder.
Forge
Changes to the configuration will be reflected immediately. The config is server-sided on Forge, meaning it's located inside the .minecraft/saves/[WORLD_NAME]/serverconfigs/ folder. You can set a default value by placing a copy of the configuration you'd like to have in the .minecraft/defaultconfigs/ folder.

How to Install Default Spawn Dimension on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Default Spawn Dimension". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Default Spawn Dimension server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Default Spawn Dimension compatible with fabric and forge?
Default Spawn Dimension officially supports fabric, forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Default Spawn Dimension – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Default Spawn Dimension consumes the most tick time.
