Compressed Fuel
This mod adds a new item, compressed fuel, that acts as a compact and efficient fuel solution!
About this Mod
Compressed Fuel: An ideal fuel solution
This mod aims to provide a balanced fuel solution for minecraft.
Currently, in vanilla, the 2 best fuels are coal blocks, and lava buckets. However, they both have issues:
- Coal blocks are stackable to 64, with each having a lot of fuel ticks, but are hard to farm, since coal is only renewable from wither skeletons.
- Lava buckets have the most fuel ticks, are easily farmable but are not stackable, and leave behind empty buckets.
This is the solution: Compressed Fuel.
It is made from 1 lava bucket, and 8 coal blocks. It is stackable to 64, which eliminates the stackability issue, has more fuel ticks than its components combined and does not leave anything behind. However, you might be asking "but the renewability issue still persists! It needs coal blocks!". I added a solution for that too, coal blocks can now be made from charcoal as well as normal coal! Charcoal isn't easily farmable, but burning wood is much easier and faster than mining for coal.
When is such a solution needed?
This is useful in vanilla, for auto smelters, but it really shines in modpacks. Especially when mods that use a lot of fuel, like immersive aircraft, are present, this mod provides a really handy fuel solution.

Compressed Fuel officially supports forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Compressed Fuel – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Compressed Fuel consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
