Depths Update is an experimental, work-in progress mod that aims to backport features of the modern Caves & Cliffs updates into Minecraft 1.12.2.

Expanded World Depth
The world generation bounds have been expanded, lowering the bedrock level to y = -64!
The Deepslate Layer & Ores
Below Y=0, the world seamlessly transitions from standard Stone into Deepslate.
- Features Deepslate variations for all vanilla ores and Copper.
- Includes the full family of Deepslate building blocks including Slabs and Stairs.

Available Versions
How to Install Depths Update on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.12.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Depths Update". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Depths Update server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.12.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
