About this Mod

Dog Backpack is a simple and immersive Minecraft mod that lets your tamed wolves carry items in their mouth, just like foxes do!

How It Works

Shift + Right-Click with an item in hand - Your dog will take the item and carry it in its mouth visually.
Shift + Right-Click with an empty hand - Your dog will drop the item it is carrying.

Features

Works only on tamed wolves that belong to you.
Visual item rendering in the wolf's mouth (uses equipment slot).
Colored chat messages to confirm actions:
- Green: Dog is now carrying an item
- Yellow: Dog dropped an item
- Red: Dog already has something in its mouth
- Gray: Dog is not carrying anything
Lightweight and server-friendly.

Installation

Download the latest release.

How to Install Dog Backpack on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.16.5).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Dog Backpack". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
