About this Mod
🧱 Dawn Of Time: Beyond Vanilla
Dawn Of Time: Beyond Vanilla is a Minecraft mod that expands the vanilla building palette with hundreds of new block variants using the Dawn of Time block templates. Every block uses an existing vanilla material, giving builders far more freedom to detail and decorate their constructions without leaving the vanilla aesthetic.
What this mod adds
For a large selection of vanilla materials, this mod introduces new block shapes that do not exist in the base game:
| Block type | Description |
|---|---|
| Plate | Half vertical blocks. Supports inner and outer corners. |
| Edge | Half slab, similar to a plate but placed on the lower half of a face. Also supports corners. |
| Support Slab | A slab with a structural cutout, useful for framing and detailing the ceiling. |
| Support Beam | A beam is added below the support slab. |
| Beam | A connected pillar with a wooden beam and a thicker base. |
| Pergola | Thinner beam, useful for gardens and covered walkways. |
| Lattice | A decorative cross grid panel, good for outdoor decoration. |
| Stairs / Slabs / Walls | Filling in the gaps: vanilla materials that were missing one of these standard shapes now have them. |
Materials covered
The mod covers virtually every major vanilla material group:
- All wood types (Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Cherry, Mangrove, Bamboo, Crimson, Warped), including leaf variants for Plates and Edges
- Stone, Cobblestone, Stone Bricks and their cracked and mossy variants
- Deepslate and all its variants (Cobbled, Polished, Bricks, Tiles, Cracked)
- Sandstone, Red Sandstone, Cut and Smooth variants
- Bricks, Mud Bricks, Packed Mud
- All 16 colors of Concrete and Terracotta
- Nether materials (Netherrack, Nether Bricks, Cracked Nether Bricks, Red Nether Bricks, Nylium, Soul Sand, Soul Soil)
- Minerals (Coal, Iron, Gold, Lapis, Diamond, Netherite)
- Copper (all waxed oxidation stages)
- Amethyst, Quartz, Prismarine, Calcite, Tuff, Dripstone, Blue Ice
- Natural blocks (Dirt, Sand, Gravel, Grass, Podzol, Clay, Moss and more)
Unique block sorting system
This mod is sharing the same Dawn of Time inventory system, allowing custom tabs and subtabs. All the blocks are sorted in 4 categories:
- Building
- Naturals
- Colored
- Dimensions
This tab sorting architecture helps to memorize the blocks emplacements and make the process of finding between all the blocks way easier and smoother.
