About this Mod

DragonHelper

DragonHelper is a QOL mod for any sort of Dragon Simulator server out there, designed to make your play experience better!

The mod is designed to be compatible with any sort of dragon simulator server with any sort of features, so it uses a configuration system to define attributes that cause the below features to work.

Current features:

  • Rare dragon and golem notifications
  • The ability to disable summoning eye placement, other player loot, and loot number texts
  • Multiple UI elements designed to track kills and slayer quest progress
  • Auto-sell

If you are interested in tracking data on another server that is not specified by default in this mod, you'll need to follow the steps below.

  1. Open your mods folder, navigate to the root game instance directory, and find the config folder.
  2. Find and open the servers.json file within the dragonhelper folder, located inside of the config folder that you opened in step 1.
  3. Add a new server to the list in JSON format. The server name MUST be lowercased.
  4. Add configuration keys to your new server. Change the values associated with each configuration key to the associated lowercase text/command present on the new server. For example, if I wanted to add a new server where I can auto-sell, and the server's sell command is /sellallitems, I would add the following to my server's json: "auto-sell-normal": "sellallitems"

Example server.json file:

{
  "examplenewserver": {
    "auto-sell-normal": "sellallitems"
  },

Frequently Asked Questions

DragonHelper server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is DragonHelper compatible with fabric?

DragonHelper officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with DragonHelper – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if DragonHelper consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
