Automated kelp farming is kind of OP and I wanted coal to remain important.
I also made a mod called Activated Coal (https://modrinth.com/mod/activated-coal) that allows you to mix coal and redstone to smelt 16 items per coal. It goes well with this one.

How to Install Dried Kelp Nerf on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Dried Kelp Nerf". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
