About this Mod

ABOUT
Duckzi's Opossum adds one new versatile mob to the pool: Opossums! They can be tamed, bred, annoying and so much more! This is one part of a series of mods: Duckzi's Critters.
REQUIREMENTS
For this mod to work as intended, make sure to download the latest match version of GeckoLib!
FUNCTIONS
Spawning
Opossums spawn mainly near villages, but also will spawn in forests and plains.
Breeding
To breed two opossums, use apples!
Taming
To tame an opossum, use sweet berries. It may take several.
Evil Behavior...
Opossums are attracted to dropped items, they will eat them. They will then keep said items in their inventory.
Tamed Behavior
Once tamed, you may access an opossums inventory. The sit button is located in the top left, and its rightmost slot is its cosmetic slot, changing its appearance on when holding certain items.

How to Install Duckzi's Opossums on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Duckzi's Opossums". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Duckzi's Opossums server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Duckzi's Opossums compatible with forge?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Duckzi's Opossums consumes the most tick time.
