About this Mod
Baby's first mod. I hate MCreator, and had to forcibly remove the junk class it kept adding in order for this to work. But it works.
I cannot believe that there are like 3 different mods for "better third person" but they all expect you to have a singular FOV setting for both views apparently. Hello? Ever play a third person shooter? They have radically lower FOVs that first person games allow for a reason. This mod should make it far more comfortable to switch between perspectives in gameplay.
So, aside from me throwing some shade on them, this mod is best used with one of the following:
and if you use TACZ, one of the companion mods for your choice of the above:
Third Person Shooting: Zero for Shoulder Surfing
TaCZ: Leawind's Third Person Compat for Leawind's

Dynamic FOV Offset server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Dynamic FOV Offset compatible with forge?
Dynamic FOV Offset officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Dynamic FOV Offset – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Dynamic FOV Offset consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
