Dypsis
Targeted, effective optimizations for 1.12.2
About this Mod
Dypsis
Dypsis is an optimization mod with a focus on improving client-side rendering performance. It contains both improvements for vanilla and targeted optimizations for mods.
Vanilla
- Framebuffer Optimization Strategy
- Conservative mode optimizes framebuffer blitting with a more efficient method.
- Aggressive mode makes the game directly render to the default framebuffer to skip the blitting process altogether.
- HUD Batching: Draw HUD elements in batches to improve performance.
- Smart Entity Outline Rendering: Skips entity outline (a.k.a. glowing effect) rendering when there is no entity visible with outline.
Mods
- Ender IO: Batched rendering for conduits, significantly improves performance when you have a handful of conduits in the world.
- The One Probe: Skips redundant GL calls.
Advanced
- (WIP) Modern Rendering Pipeline: Very experimental and immature replacement of the vertex array usage in Tessellator. Utilizes VAO and DSA to improve performance.

Dypsis server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.12.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Dypsis compatible with forge?
Dypsis officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.12.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Dypsis – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Dypsis consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
