Easy Hardcore
Adds hardcore-style permadeath without locking the world to Hardcore difficulty.
About this Mod
This mod provides a Hardcore-style permadeath experience while allowing full control over the game's vanilla difficulty settings.
Unlike Minecraft's built-in Hardcore mode, this mod allows players to choose any vanilla difficulty level, including Peaceful, Easy, Normal, or Hard. Regardless of the selected difficulty, death is permanent and the player will not respawn, similar to Hardcore mode.
This mod is primarily intended for singleplayer gameplay.
Singleplayer:
When used in singleplayer, the mod enforces permanent death. Once the player dies, the world behaves like Hardcore mode.
LAN / Hosted Worlds:
When a world is opened to LAN, the host player acts as the server. In this case, the mod must be installed on the host player for it to function.
If the mod is only installed on the host player, the host must remain online. If the host leaves the world, the server shuts down and the mod is no longer active.
Dedicated Servers:
On dedicated servers, the mod must be installed directly on the server to function. Installing the mod only on a player will not work in this scenario.
Client Requirements:
This is a server-side mod. Other players can join the world or server without installing the mod, and no Fabric installation is required on the client side.
This mod is designed for players who want a permadeath experience without being forced into Minecraft's Hardcore difficulty scaling.
This project was created using MCreator.
