About this Mod

Create hundreds of patterns with a single key press.
This mod lets you generate Applied Energistics 2 (AE2) patterns — crafting, processing, etc. — directly from any recipe you select in the EMI recipe tree. The mod also remembers which items have already been encoded and avoids creating duplicate patterns for the same item.

Usage

  1. Bind a key for the mod (default: N).
  2. Select the item you want to encode patterns for — e.g., Energizing Rod (Nitro) from Powah.
  3. Expand the recipe tree in EMI and switch it to Crafting mode.
  4. Open the Pattern Encoding Terminal and make sure there are enough blank patterns in the blank-pattern slot.
  5. Press the key you bound to start encoding.

Tips

  1. The mod is in beta! please report bugs via the project's GitHub issue tracker.
  2. I currently don't have time to port the mod to older Minecraft versions or to other mod loaders.
  3. Open the Patten Access Terminal will clear the mod's remembered items. Reading items from that terminal is planned for the next release.(partially implemented in 0.2)

Frequently Asked Questions

EMI Patternizer server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is EMI Patternizer compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?

EMI Patternizer officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with EMI Patternizer – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if EMI Patternizer consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
