About this Mod

Em's Server Utils provides an extensive API for managing and changing player usernames and visibility. It's used in a few of my other mods.

In addition, it provides the following commands:

/icon - add an icon to the player's username
/nick - change the player's username
/vanish - hide the player in the tab menu

This mod may be used in any modpack or as a dependency for any mod as long as it is distributed via CurseForge or Modrinth and links to the official project page. Redistribution of the jar file is not permitted.

How to Install Em’s Server Utils on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Em’s Server Utils". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Em’s Server Utils server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
