English Keybinds

This mod prevents keybind labels from being translated based on your keyboard layout.

Why?

Minecraft determines keybind labels based on your active keyboard layout when you first open the Controls menu.
If you enter in the Controls menu with a Russian layout, your standard WASD binds will be displayed as ЦФЫВ, which is very misleading.
This mod forces the game to always display keybinds as capital English characters.

Important

This mod targets QWERTY keyboards only.
If you use other keyboard types, the mod behavior is undefined.

How to Install English Keybinds on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "English Keybinds". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

English Keybinds server crashes on startup – what to do?
