About this Mod

Engravings... give no tactical adventage whatsoever. You get additional points for style though!

Lore

This mod allows you to add lore to your items by combinig them with books in anvil.
Each page is a separate line of lore.

Names

You can also combine a name tag with a book the contents of the first page are moved to the tags name. If you have a mod that allows you to change colors of text it will be copied as well!
Once you rename your tag, any item can be combined with it to name the item!

Config

Mod can be configured to change the cost of renaming and adding lore.
Setting negative values of level cost will disable mechanics.

How to Install Engravings on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.6).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Engravings". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Engravings server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
