About this Mod
⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️
This mod requires Fabric API.
Mod Description
This is a simple client-sided Fabric mod that allows you to spectate entities when pressing SHIFT + RMB (Right Mouse Button), when looking at one (you must keep holding SHIFT once you start to spectate, to keep spectating. To stop spectating, just release the key). For a visual of the mod, click the Mod Demonstration Video below, or view this mod's Gallery Tab.
⚠️IMPORTANT NOTE⚠️: When you spectate an entity, you can hit other entities it looks at if they are within a 6-block distance from you. This can lead to suspicious interactions on servers, so be cautious (or ask your admin for permission). Also, you won't be able to see yourself while spectating, and hitting yourself will result in a 'Attempting To Attack An Invalid Entity' error, causing the game to kick you.

Server lagging with Entity Spectate – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Entity Spectate consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
