About this Mod

Someone being pulled along using a leash

Eternally Bound

Eternally Bound is a simple but functional mod that introduces a player-wearable Collar item.
Collars can be equipped in a dedicated accessory slot, and can be linked to another new item: the Leash.
Another player can use someone's linked Leash to put certain restrictions on them while they are wearing their Collar.

Items

This mod adds three new items, which can each be dyed any color:

  • Collars
  • Jingling Collars
  • and Leashes

Collars and Jingling Collars are functionally identical,
except that the latter has a little bell that jingles as you move around while wearing it.

Functionality

Leashes in this mod have five main functions:

  • Yank: Pulls your partner towards you.
  • Restrain: Use on a block to leash your partner to said block. Wander range can be configured by shift-scrolling.
  • Follow: Use to leash your partner to yourself. Wander range can be configured same as above.
  • Mute: When used on your partner, prevents them from talking normally in chat. Words in messages will be replaced by a single word that they set on their collar.
  • Lock: When used on your partner, prevents them from taking off their collar. The collar will also become soulbound, and will not drop on death.

Leash modes can be switched by holding down right-click while holding a Leash.
This will open a selection wheel. Releasing right-click with your mouse over any mode will select it.
The functionality can then be activated using left-click.

The leash only functions when within 32 blocks of your partner.
