Experimentalist
Removes the experimental settings warning screen and allows enabling experimental features globally
About this Mod
Experimentalist
This mod removes the "Worlds using Experimental Settings are not supported" screen and allows you to enable experimental features globally. Those features will then be enabled by default on world creation and hidden from the experimental features screen. Worlds using those features will not be flagged as experimental and will not show the "Experimental" flavor text in the world selection screen.
This mod has no dependencies (not even Fabric API).
Use cases
This mod can be useful for modpack authors who want to enable the experimental features available in Minecraft in their modpack in a way that requires no user interaction and is invisible to the user, or just for convenience if you like playing with experimental features.
Configuration
By default, none of the experimental features are enabled globally. To make an experimental feature global, open the experimentalist.json config file in the mod config folder and change the value for the desired feature from false to true. This config file will be created after launching the game for the first time after installing the mod, and the changes you make will apply after restarting the game.

Experimentalist server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2-rc-2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Experimentalist compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Experimentalist officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 26.2-rc-2, 26.2-rc-1, 26.1.2. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Experimentalist – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Experimentalist consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
