Installation

Fact is only available for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1. We have no official support of custom server softwares that allow Forge + Plugin support, don't make issues if you have errors using the mod on those softwares.

Download the latest release from the Versions tab
Place the downloaded file in the mods folder of your Minecraft instance.
(Optional) Download the latest version of Dynmap Forge 1.20.1 and place it in the mods folder of your Minecraft instance.
Start the game and enjoy!

Usage

/fact admin create <name> - Create a team.
/fact admin delete <name> - Delete a team.
/fact admin claim <team name> - Claim the chunk you are standing in for the specified team.
/fact admin unclaim <team name> - Unclaim the chunk you are standing in for the specified team.
/fact admin set_leader <player> - Force set the leader of the team you are in.
/fact admin leave - Makes you leave the team you are in.
/fact admin join <name> - Join a team.
/fact admin player join <player> <name> - Makes a player join a team.
/fact admin player leave <player> - Makes a player leave a team.
/fact set_leader <player> - Makes you the leader of the team you are in. (Only works if you are the leader of the team)
/fact ally <name> - Allows another team to mine/place blocks in your land
/fact unally <name> - Disallows another team to mine/place blocks in your land

How to Install Fact on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.6).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Fact". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fact server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Fact compatible with forge?

Fact officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.6, 1.20.5, 1.20.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Fact – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Fact consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
