About this Mod

Welcome to Factorial

Mod logo

This mod is made as a simple and fun tech mod, adding 10+ new materials and 20+ machines useful for automating resources and materials, as well as many building blocks and foods!

Features:

Machines allow for more advanced crafting or automation of resources (here are a few examples):

  • Crusher - allows you to turn raw materials into dusts to make the material output two times bigger
  • Press- turns ingots into plates for crafting
  • Crystal growing machine- grows crystals to automate materials such as amethyst, echo shards, redstone or quartz
  • Alloy smelter - makes alloys from two materials

Multiblocks are machines made from multiple blocks that serve more advanced purpouses:

  • Centrifuge - extracts dusts from crushed blocks such as granite, diorite or andesite
  • Alloy Forge - allows for advanced alloys sucha as Voidsteel or for faster alloying of regular alloys

The mod also adds many building blocks such as cut versions of blocks or the new Cognite block set, as well as foods such as Chocolate or gameplay mechanics like the Shield of Resonance or Sculk Silencer.

This mod was made entirely by me, Mrzblj as a passion project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Factorial server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Factorial compatible with forge?

Factorial officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Factorial – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Factorial consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
