About this Mod
This pack takes advantage of the chicken_lay loot table, added in Minecraft 1.21.2+, to give chickens a little more variety in their drops. Once added to a world, chickens in that world will have a 75 percent chance of laying an egg, a 24.5 percent chance of shedding a feather, or a half percent chance of laying a gold nugget.
This pack was inspired by voodoobeard's Chicken Shedding, which gives chickens a 10 percent chance of dropping a feather.

How to Install Feathers & Golden Eggs on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Feathers & Golden Eggs". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Feathers & Golden Eggs server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Server lagging with Feathers & Golden Eggs – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Feathers & Golden Eggs consumes the most tick time.
