About this Mod

This is a magic mod about Totem Poles, nature and the power of music.
The mod's main focus lies on Totem Poles. They can give passive boons to players nearby, but more importantly, they are the central piece of Ceremonies: Dancing around a Totem Pole and playing various musical instruments to invoke strong effects and manipulate the world.
Patchouli is recommended so you get the Totempedia, an in-game guide to the mod's content.
Currently, only Forge/NeoForge are supported, but ZestyBlaze is working on a Fabric version. Stay tuned for that.
Totemic has built-in integration with KubeJS in 1.20.1+, no add-on mod is required (although this might change in the future). See the KubeJS wiki for the documentation.

Totemic server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Totemic compatible with forge and neoforge?
Totemic officially supports forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Totemic – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Totemic consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
