About this Mod
Requires Fabric API
How to Use:
This mod allows you to sit on logs that have two blocks of air above them by using them with an empty hand. It also allows you to skip time without setting your respawn point. To do this, it adds two keybinds to the game.
Select Fireside Duration (defaults to backslash): When you use this key, you cycle through the times of day that you could skip to: midnight, morning, noon, night, and clear weather
Submit Fireside Duration (defaults to enter): When you use this key, if you are sitting on a log with a campfire two blocks away (similar spacing to bookshelves), you will wait on that log until you get up or the selected time occurs. If all players are sleeping or waiting by campfires, the time will skip to the nearest selected time of day.
Weather:
When it is raining, campfires exposed to the rain may be randomly extinguished. Soul campfires and campfires with high smoke (such as by placing hay underneath) do not get extinguished in rain. When trying to skip time at a campfire while it is raining, if anyone's campfire is liable to going out, a random player whose campfire might go out will be extinguished and time will not successfully be skipped.
If it is raining and all players are sleeping or waiting at campfires until clear weather, assuming nobody's campfire is liable to going out, the time will be set to day and the weather cycle will be cleared.

Fireside server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Fireside compatible with fabric?
Fireside officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Fireside – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Fireside consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
