About this Mod
Flamy Flames
A small mod that improves the look of flame particles by removing the scaling animation, changing their rotation mode and adding animated textures based on age.
Affects all vanilla and modded blocks that use flame particles, like Torches, Candles and lit Furnaces.
Does this work with resource packs?
The animated textures can be overridden by resource packs. This will probably look fine with packs that add their own animated textures, but will look less than ideal with packs that just change the vanilla flame texture.
Because of this, the textures of this mod are provided as a built-in resource pack to allow reordering if needed.
Mod Compatibility
Animated textures are included for the flame types added by:
- Buzzier Bees (Soul Candle flame)
- Caverns and Chasms (Cupric flame)
- Copper Age Backport (Copper flame)
New flame particles added by other mods will still get the the rotation and removed scaling, but won't have animated textures.

Flamy Flames server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Flamy Flames officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Flamy Flames – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Flamy Flames consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
