About this Mod
!
Floatater adds a recreation of the original Floatater block and mechanics from the 2024 April Fool's Snapshot of Minecraft, 2024w14potato. It also includes the Floatato from the snapshot, and a new "Sticky Wand" to stop flying structures midair.
Features Added
- Floatato: This block can be placed midair, useful for stopping flying structures or for building in the sky from a flying mount!
- Floatater: Activated with a redstone signal, this block will capture blocks attached to its' sticky face, and send them flying off in the direction the block is facing until they collide with something in the world. Then, the entire moving structure gets placed back into the world.
- Sticky Wand: This simple item launches a slime ball projectile to freeze flying structure midair as if they hit a block in the world, causing the structure to be placed back into the world.
All of these can be crafted in survival and the main focus of the mod, the Floatater, can be used for transportation or parkour levels, decorative building, anything you can think of!
Notes
I've made a few adjustments, one of them is to ensure that the Floatater cannot move Bedrock (along with some other typically immoveable blocks like command blocks, barrier blocks, etc.), as well as the Sticky Wand to stop structures easily.
I'm thinking about adding some quality of life features, or alternate version of Floataters that maybe re-active on their own or oscillate within a specified range, etc. but not sure yet. Leave a comment!
