About this Mod

Hey!

Flutter is a simple mod that allows players to make their skins blink just through resource packs!

Here is how to do it:

Assuming you already have a default texture pack already, you're going to need to make a new directory, next to the 'minecraft' folder, called 'flutter'.
Then, inside that flutter folder, add a 'textures', and inside 'textures' add a 'skin' folder.
Inside the skin folder, add another folder and name it your minecraft username. This needs to be in lowercase!
For example, 'n1tr0n__' would stay as 'n1tr0n__', but for one like 'TheTrueYak', it would be 'thetrueyak'.

Inside this folder named after your username, you can drag and drop the two skin files. The one with the open eyes needs to be called 'skin', and the one with the closed eyes
has to be called 'blink'. They both have to be a png.

And you're done! Load in with the resource pack and boom! You have blinking! You can do this with any of your friends minecraft skins too, and even a whole server in order to immerse yourself in the gameplay more :3

Frequently Asked Questions

Flutter server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Flutter compatible with fabric?

Flutter officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Flutter – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Flutter consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
