A mod that allows players to fly. It also fixes many problems that lead to the loss of player information and loss of flight status
About this Mod
FlyCommand
简体中文
A mod that allows players to fly.
Currently only supports version mc-1.20.1_fabric-0.16.10+.
This mod provides flight commands:
/fly(toggle mode)/fly on(force enable)/fly off(force disable)
Client-Side Features
- With the mod installed, mining speed while flying is synchronized with the server.
- Without the mod installed, only blocks that are instant-breakable are processed correctly by the server; otherwise, mining speed is still calculated client-side and may be slower.
Mod Features:
- Saves mod data to the "playerdata/[player UUID].dat" file within the save after exiting the server or world.
- When the flight command is enabled, switching game modes does not cause the player to lose flight status.
- In Survival and Adventure modes, the landing after exiting flight status grants immunity to fall damage.
- In Survival and Adventure modes, while in flight status or after exiting flight but before landing, the mining slowdown penalty mid-air is avoided (requires the mod to be installed on the client for full support).
Fixed Flight Status Loss Issues:
- Losing flight status when teleporting across dimensions (client update not sent).
- Losing flight status when returning to the Overworld via an End portal (data not copied).

FlyCommand server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is FlyCommand compatible with fabric?
FlyCommand officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with FlyCommand – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if FlyCommand consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
