About this Mod

In Bedrock Edition, you can place blocks directly in front of you while walking forward — no need to crouch, look backward, or awkwardly aim at block edges. This is commonly used for fast bridging.

In Java Edition this doesn't work — you have to look directly at a block face to place anything.

This mod adds that missing behaviour. Simply aim forward and slightly down while holding a block, and it will snap to the correct position in front of you automatically.

No dependencies required. Client-side only — does not need to be installed on servers.

How to Install Forward Bridge on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Forward Bridge". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
