About this Mod

Minecraft's default lightning renderer is kind of boring and doesn't even look like lightning in my opinion. So I made it look better.

This mod's lightning renderer generates fractal-like geometry for lightning (hence the name), and dynamically adjusts the amount of geometry generated based on the player's distance to the lightning bolt. This allows lightning to be more detailed only where necessary.

How to Install Fractal Lightning on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Fractal Lightning". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
