GlideUI
Small mod that adds animations to the guis
About this Mod
GlideUI is a client-side Fabric mod that adds smooth open/close animations to inventory-style GUIs (player inventory, chests, furnaces, anvils, and other container screens). Because it hooks the shared AbstractContainerScreen base class, it works automatically with modded GUIs and screens added by other mods, inspired by flow mod!
Features
Ease In / Ease Out animations when opening and closing GUIs, each with:
An easing type (Linear, Sine, Quad, Cubic, Quart, Quint, Expo, Circ, Back, Elastic, Bounce — In/Out/InOut variants).
An animation type (Expand Middle / Middle Left / Middle Right / Top / Bottom, Slide Left / Right / Up / Down).
A configurable duration in milliseconds.
Background tint — configurable color that fades in with the animation.
Background blur — configurable intensity (0–100%) that ramps in with the animation.
Compatibility controls — master toggle, toggle for modded GUIs, creative inventory, and a per-screen class blacklist (editable in the config file).
Configuration
The config is stored at config/glideui.json and can be edited in-game via modmenu mod.
The in-game screen has two tabs:
Transitions — background tint/blur and the Ease In / Ease Out settings.
Compatibility — master enable toggle and mod-compatibility options.
Use Save Changes to persist, Undo to revert to the last saved state, and Cancel to discard.

GlideUI server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is GlideUI compatible with fabric?
GlideUI officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with GlideUI – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if GlideUI consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
