About this Mod

This mod synchronizes your minecraft settings globally on your PC! Never have to go through and adjust settings ever again, when creating a new instance.

How it works:

  • It creates a file, that includes everything from the options.txt file.
  • This file is only created or changed, when the button is pressed in the mods GUI.
  • Upon Launching the game it checks, if there is a file, and if there is it takes these settings and copies them into your current instance
  • This can be prevented by toggling it off in the settings menu

The settings menu is located to the right of the controls tab within the game options.

Frequently Asked Questions

Global Settings server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Global Settings compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?

Global Settings officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.7, 1.21.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Global Settings – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Global Settings consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
