Features

Bunnyhopping.
Goldsource ladder movement.
In-game config

Requires Fabric Language Kotlin, depends on YetAnotherConfigLib, Fabric API and optionally Mod Menu.

Differences from squake/re:squake:

More focused on goldsource (Half-Life/CS 1.6) movement instead of Quake 1/TFC.
Air acceleration is simulated at a tickrate of 100.
Added ledgegrab/glidestep.
Added goldsource ladder movement.
Added experimental buffered jump mode, like in quake (toggleable in config).
Removed most movement variables from config for less exploity movement on SMP servers.
Removed trimping and sharking (too exploity)
Some bugs fixed.

The code is a little jank, because I'm lazy and I'm not a java/kotlin developer.

How to Install goldsqource on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "goldsqource". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

goldsqource server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
