About this Mod
Halo HUD is a Minecraft mod for the Fabric launcher adding a small halo
style indicator around the crosshair, showing player health and hunger.
This allows players to quickly see the state of their character without
looking down at the HUD, particularly on large monitors.
HaloHUD >= 2.0 requires YetAnotherConfigLib instead of ClothConfig!
The indicator automatically hides itself when the bars are full.
Dependencies
- Optional dependency on YetAnotherConfigLib for ingame configuration screen
Fabric only
- requires Fabric API
- optional: Mod Menu for ingame configuration screen
Mod compatibility
This should be compatible with any mod that doesn't also draw something around the crosshair.
Works very well in conjunction with my other mod AutoHud.
Also works well with my mod Dynamic Crosshair.

Halo HUD server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Halo HUD compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Halo HUD officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.4, 1.21.3, 1.21.2. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Halo HUD – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Halo HUD consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
