About this Mod
NOTE
This mod was intended to be a replace for Better World Options as it didn't work well on servers.
However since the release 0.3.0 the mod was tweaked to work on servers and so you don't need this mod anymore.
You can use it of course if you want just a lightweight hardcode mode implementation but if you need more configuration over all aspects of your worlds i would highly recommend to use BWO.
Hardcore mod
Hardcore mode backport from 1.0 to b1.7.3
Complatible with both singleplayer and multiplayer.

Texture pack support
Custom icons are only used for hardcore (non hardcore uses vanilla texture) and should be located at /assets/hardcore/textures/gui/icons.png so you should add 2 textures at those two locations:
/gui/icons.png - for non hardcore aka vanilla texture
/assets/hardcore/textures/gui/icons.png - hardcore only
Their layout is exactly same.

Hardcore mod server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong babric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (b1.7.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Hardcore mod compatible with babric?
Hardcore mod officially supports babric for Minecraft b1.7.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Hardcore mod – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Hardcore mod consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
