What does this mod add?
Historically Accurate features a variety of additions based on real history. Currently, the mod is in early development, with the only released version being a test run. I am currently working on a 26.2 version of the mod with more features than the current release.
The mod's current version adds:
Food - Porridge, Oats (crafted from wheat), Tomatoes (with crop/seeds)
Tools/Weapons - Copper and Steel Pickaxes, Axes, Shovels, Hoes, and Falchions
Steel - Crafting process with in-world interactions
Zinc - Its ore, "Sphalerite", in three different qualities (Poor, Medium, Rich)
Planned features
Future 26.1.2 versions will feature:
- Brass (tools) and its crafting processes (featuring more in-world interactions)
- Further early-game tech development (more flint tools, etc.)
- Backpacks (with hotkey)
- Expanded food/cooking/farming systems

Historically Accurate server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Historically Accurate compatible with neoforge?
Historically Accurate officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Historically Accurate – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Historically Accurate consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
