About this Mod
HMCue is a quality-of-life mod created for HydronixMC.
It improves various graphical elements, such as smooth texture fading and hiding player name tags under specific conditions.
Each feature can be enabled or disabled individually through the Mod Menu.
Current Features
Player Name Tag Hiding
This feature hides player name tags when a player is behind a wall or riding an entity.
Optimized Model Loading
This feature works especially well in combination with our server.
Normally, entities are loaded within a fixed radius around the player. With this feature, the server can detect the player's location and dynamically load or unload certain entities for that player, which can improve FPS and overall performance.
Smooth Texture Fading
This feature improves how Minecraft handles alpha cut-outs in transparent textures.
In vanilla Minecraft, transparent textures often have a harsh edge due to a high alpha cut-out threshold. This feature replaces that effect with a smoother alpha fade for a cleaner and more natural look. (See screenshots)

HMCue server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is HMCue compatible with fabric?
HMCue officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with HMCue – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if HMCue consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
